Goldco Precious Metals agrees with this article - also, we'd like to add that even though there may SEEM to be bad news surrounding precious metals, there's still some interesting things going on with gold. Globally, central banks purchased 118 tons of gold in the second quarter of 2014, which represents a 28% increase since 2013. Also good news, the World Gold Council has said that it does not expect any of these central banks to sell any significant quantities. This is more good news for folks looking to rollover portions of their IRAs into gold and silver.
