Thanks for working so hard on this article Adam. From down here at ground level there's a more "Reader's Digest" view of why Gold lags so far behind inflation. With Gold being used in Super Computers, computer chips, particle accelerators, the Chinese Artificial Sun and sent into space as mirrors on the James Webb space telescope ~ it's obvious Gold has become an Industrial Use Commodity. It is in the Best Interests of Industrial users of Gold to force the price to the lowest levels possible.

I'm looking at this from the Sherlock Holmes perspective: when all other explanations fail you're left with the truth. On the flip side, look at Bitcoin. Bitcoin came from nowhere, it's made from nothing and it has NO industrial use whatsoever. Hence it has/will become priceless ! I wonder when these facts will become Economic Science at the Wharton School of Economics ?
