Bactech Resumes Work at Godbout Uranium Project

Toronto, May 29, 2007 - BacTech Mining Corporation ("BacTech" or the
"Company") today announced that it has resumed work on its Godbout
uranium project located near Baie Comeau, Quebec.
The Godbout "B" property will be the focus of the next work program.
The work will entail two phases. Initially, a 25 - 30 km
scintillometer survey will be undertaken covering the regional geologic
strike. This stage will include sampling of radioactive outcrops. The
second phase will be exploratory trenching and drilling on areas
identified as prospective by phase one.
The Godbout "B" property is the site of a high grade boulder found this
past Fall, and it includes a 30 meter wide pegmatite dyke. One selected
grab sample of a fracture zone within that dyke yielded anomalous
uranium.
CORPORATE PROFILE
BacTech has developed and patented bacterial oxidation technology for
the treatment of refractory ores and concentrates to enhance the
recovery of gold, silver and base metals. BacTech has successfully
commissioned three bioleach plants for gold and demonstrated its
technology in the selective recovery of base metals from complex
sulphide concentrates in a joint project with Industrias Pe�oles de
C.V. of Mexico that was completed in 2001. The Company's focus is the
acquisition of equity positions in projects amenable to bioleaching.
Recently, the Company expanded its focus through the establishment of a
uranium Joint Venture with Quinto Mining Corporation in Quebec.
