Brett Resources Inc. (TSX Venture Exchange - BBR) Ron Netolitzky, Chairman of Brett Resources Inc. is pleased to announce Ron W. Stewart and Steve M. Cook have agreed to join the Brett board of directors. The changes to the board are a continuance of the plan announced November 26, 2007 to strengthen the management and board at Brett.

Mr. Stewart, currently President and CEO of Verena Minerals Corp., has been involved in the gold mining and exploration industry for over 30 years. Prior to his current position at Verena, Mr. Stewart held the Senior Vice President, Exploration position with Kinross Gold, directing the corporation's global exploration effort for over five years. Prior to joining Kinross, Mr. Stewart worked for Placer Dome for 17 years. Starting as a project geologist and credited with the discovery of the Musselwhite gold mine in Northwestern Ontario, Mr. Stewart moved through a series of positions including Chief Geologist at the Porgera Mine, Country Manager in Indonesia and finally Director of Investor Relations. Mr. Stewart is a member of the Professional Geoscientists of Ontario and Society of Economic Geologists.

Mr.Cook is a partner at Thorsteinssons LLP where he focuses on corporate and international tax planning and civil and criminal tax litigation. Mr. Cook received his B.Comm and LL.B. degrees from the University of British Columbia. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1982 and the Ontario Bar in 1992. Mr. Cook has lectured at the Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia and in the M.B.A. programme offered by the Faculty of Commerce at U.B.C. He has presented numerous papers on tax-related matters for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia and the Tax Foundation of Canada and is a former director and past President of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.

The Company would also report the resignation of Thomas Hasek and Rupert Allan from the Board. The Company would like to acknowledge the support of these gentlemen in the development of the company especially in bringing the company to its current position. We are pleased to note that their services will remain available to the Company through Advisory Board positions.

The Company also announces the granting of 250,000 stock options for officers, directors and consultants of the Company. The exercise price of the options will be the closing price of $1.40 as at December 31, 2007. The options will expire December 31, 2012.
