Yellowjacket Zone Trial Mining Program Ahead of Schedule

Calgary, Alberta---Prize Mining Corporation (TSXV: PRZ) is pleased to
announce it has now completed overburden excavation in preparation for
extraction of a 10,000 tonne bedrock bulk sample from its Atlin Gold
Property, located in northwestern British Columbia. The bulk sample
will be collected from a surface micro-pit and processed as part of the
on-going trial mining program on the Yellowjacket Zone. Overburden
excavation has been completed 10 days ahead of schedule.

Detailed mapping and channel sampling of the exposed bedrock is
currently underway in order to determine the best orientation for
extraction of the bulk sample blocks. Visible gold has been observed in
a number of geological units in the newly exposed bedrock surface. The
mapping and sampling program is under the supervision of Dr. Simon
Dominy, C.Eng. and C.Geol. of Snowden Group, London, who is currently
on site. Dr. Dominy is a leading expert in sampling and processing of
high nugget-effect gold deposits of the Yellowjacket type. This is the
first of two planned visits by Dr. Dominy to site; who will be acting
as the Independent Qualified Person for an NI 43-101 reserve estimate
later this year. Bedrock mapping and sampling will be completed by the
end of May.

BGC Engineering Ltd. is the lead agency contracted by Prize Mining to
oversee the project, and Dr. Wayne Savigny, P.Eng. and Mr. Gerry
Papini, P.Geo.(hydrogeologist) are also on site supervising
construction of tailings facilities and process plant layout.

As part of the overburden excavation, placer gravels from the historic
Pine Creek placer gold channel were removed and stockpiled. In
conjunction with crushing and milling of the bedrock bulk sample
blocks, Prize Mining will also commence placer sluicing of these
overburden gravels in early June to assess the gold potential remaining
in the Pine Creek placer channel.

Prize Mining's Cedarapids 50 tonne per hour crushing unit will be
mobilized to site in early June, with the Knelson Gravity Solutions'
processing plant for the bulk sampling (trial mining) program on
schedule to be assembled on site in mid-July.

Ms. Linda Dandy, P.Geo. is the project supervisor and "Qualified
Person" for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101 and has reviewed
and verified the geological contents of this release.
